Guinea Pigs make really good pets. They aren't as nervous as rabbits and are very friendly. They can live indoors and have their exercise outdoors.
They're good with children and easy to tame.I have two - Florence and Mabel. ↓

Hi
When I bring my teenage guinea pig out of his cage and sit with him and brush and feed him his favorite snack which is apple he sounds like he is purring....he doesnt do it much but he does it every time i do both things with him...is this a happy signal? Or is it a nervous thing? ↑ |

I have had a guinea pig before and they are not as good as hamsters or gerbils.Hamsters and gerbils are really small and they only need small spaces and they're really good fun to play with.Hamsters and gerbils do live more shorter than guinea pigs but they're wonderful pets.I'll give you the reasons.......
.They only need small spaces
.They're much more cheap than a guinea pig
.They're assentials are really cheap
So I'd say that if you think that a guinea pig costs to much or to big,by a hamster or gerbil. ↑ |

| My piggiw is the same way. well, both of them are. i think that it is both. my guinea pigs are both really jumpy though. 1 is a baby, and the other is almost 4 years old. their both girls. i introduced them about a week ago and the seem 2 like each other. mybe you should consider a 2nd guinea pig 4 him. penny, the older 1, used 2 b really depressed, not she is happier that a newborn pigglet. ↑ |

i have 2 male guineapigs and are very nice to have around, however, the larger of the 2 has red urine.
is this a cause for concern?

yes, but you may find some babies, also your female piggies may fight over the male
but dont worry, you can get a larger cage or have 2 or 3 cages connected so each piggy has his of her own terotory ↑ |

the purring sound is a "keep away" sound, this means he is angry. the best thing to do is put him back in the cage, otherwise the may begin to nibble you gently to try to tell you when he wants *my piggies do that* if you ignor all sighns he may bite you and draw blood *my piggies do that - it HURTS*

Red urine is the sign of a urinary infection and you should take your piggy to see the vet.
Guinea pigz need lots of water at all times to keep them healthy. They also need vitamin C. ↑ |

Yeah, you are right Guinea, pigs are like dreams or imaginations, they always be on time when you threat them right, but if you did threat them wrong no doubt baby, you won't get to see their are smiling side. I know some guinea, pigs, their are very happy and healthy looking able to make me smile at anytimes, but it took me a time before I were able to know the right way to be with them, but since then trust me it's just wonderful give it a try. Friends remember some cows, don't remain inside the fense.

| guinea pigs are the sexyest things in the world especialy my guinea pigs cristefa and ashlee cristefa a chubby boy anlee is just daft and never shuts up squeeking i think its the most cutest thing ever oh joy how beautiful can u get not much more than that i would marry them my only wish would be to lye in a sunny medow swarmed in male guinea pigs they have to be male cuz they are just the bestest looking rodent ever lived and ever will live cristefa and ashlee are my little men my darling angel pies i bet if i introduced them to a thousand sows they all will be after having there babies and after there todgers but they are to young for that sort of thing so they can use there hand?????haha!cristefa is a long haired black and white and charcoal ashlee is a short dark brown light brown and white baby boy with big feet they both are the greedyest gits ever and soon as they know they are geting fed thats it hypo time cristefas got is own miniture tent its so cute and he loves it more than me i saed to him dose that tent clean your cage out with its bare hands dose that tent give you fresh water everyday dose that tent give u carrots and al your other thing you get like your bathts you get when you have weed al over yourself no it dont ,he just looks at me and thinks whos that strange girl with glasses chating away about i dont no what doing????wel i dont care if he loves his tent better tham me wel i do but lets forget about that befor i start crying aslee just nver sleeps i think i might take him to the vets put him on the register as a insomniac!haha!he just runs around al night and day doing something or another i bet cristefa got no end of bags under al that fur bless his little cotton socks wel i think its time to go my guinea pig need me ttfn ↑ |
