Thats great working with animals is so rewarding and for some it is a great educational experiance as well! Another thing that needs to be consitered is that you will get bitten, scratched, peed on, pooped on and vomited on. You will also have a lot of sleepless nights and will see many disturbing thing! Aside from all that it is a great feeling knowing you are helping an animal in need! Good luck! ↑ |
lindalu-I called the shelter and I will be going there on Wednsday afternoon. !!!!! I am so excited!!! ↑ |
Thats great Momof3!!!!!!! I am trully happy for you!!! You will have to keep me posted on how it goes. Just think of all the animal harts you will touch, there is nothing more rewarding! ↑ |
Its defiantly fun! I volunteer on weekends at the local shelter. My oldest daughter 6 comes with me and plays with the kittens and puppy's to socialize them. Before I joined the military I worked at a vet. and volunteered at the HS. It is really rewarding when you get to see a dog or cat go to a good home. There are a lot of downs put the few ups make it worth being there. ↑ |
I volunteer on weekends and it is so much fun! It's hard not to take all the doggies home with you though! It's really awesome to be able to walk and spend time with dogs that weren't taken care of previously and see how much they appreciate you. ↑ |
I asked my husband what he thought about it, and he thought it was a cool idea. But he made me promise to NOT bring any animals home!!!! ↑ |
I think it's a cool idea too momof3! Good Luck!! ↑ |
I do vaccinations for our local shelter, as well as nail cutting and any shaving that needs to be done. I used to do the website and some cleaning but it got a little too political. I also foster cats occasionally, providing they get along with my 2, my 2 dogs and my son. ↑ |
