Bully breeds are good because they make the men that walk them look tough and people will think that they have a big pe*is!

They are also more intelligent than their owners and are able to lead them to the local store to buy beer when the owner is drunk out of their skull and unable to find their way about.

They have short coats which means that they don't shed everywhere thus saving the woman of the house valuable time - instead she can sit around watching tv, eating and filling in welfare forms instead!

These dogs can be used to prevent the man of the house being beaten up by the loan sharks who come to the door each week.

They can also be used to eat social workers.

They can tow the car to the breakers yard.

and finally, you can use them to intimidate people into being your friend!!!!

Bully Breeds are GREAT - every Chav should have one!!!!!!

I'm not on welfare. I'm only 21 and own my own house and have for a year. I probably have more money then any of you ever will! It all goes back to you people being ingnorant, and just with any type of dog you can't be ignorant in raising them!

Name: Hiddy | Date: Oct 16th, 2006 3:00 AM
Dear Terri,

No one said you were on welfare....

atomic snowflake merely made a generalization about people who own pitbulls. Which kind of makes sense, seeing a lot of the undesirables in society tend to keep them.

Many pitbulls end up in refuges because police find these dogs are used to protect crack laboratories and those involved in organized crime. Some pitbulls are also kept in enclosures that house marijuana crops. Its a fact, no one implied that you were on welfare. Why would you think that comment was aimed at you?

If you need any more information on Pitbulls Terri, dont hesitate to let me know...

Yours Kindly
Hiddy

Dear lindalu,

Nothing makes bully breeds better than the rest. People argue that they are loyal, gentle, loving, protective and the rest of it.

Any other breed is all that- The only thing lacking in another breed is aggression. Why people find that the desirable trait that is missing in any other breed, I dont know, you will have to wait until someone can find a reason and answer that!

Hiddy, I am not asking the question for my self! I allready have that knowlage. I just thought it would be interesting to see what people came up with. As for other breeds not having aggression thats not true! I am not defending the bully breeds, what I am stating is any dog big or small has the potential to be aggressive. I have seen many small dogs that where more aggressive than any of the bully breed dogs I have seen. The Lab and Goldie are among the highest rated biters today in the US. Why? because every one wants the wonderfull Lab or the family friendly Goldie. I love all the breads and yes some are more prone by nature to bite but thats not to say they are terrible animals. I do know you dont agree, and I am not asking you to! After all we are all entitled to our own thoughts. I have a Doberman thay are also among the breeds that are suposeto be high risk. I adopted him two years agofrom a local shelter he had all the qualities for an assistance dog. My daughter and I trained him and he now accompanies my daughter every where she goes. I have also trained two AM Staffs for disabeld assistance purposes. They seemed to lack the animal aggression that most bullys have. They are now for years in to their jobs and are doing great! Ofcourse these dogs where placed with people who had no children or other pets.

every pet can be agressive it really just depends on the owner and how they treat the pet

Name: atomic snowflake | Date: Oct 16th, 2006 10:30 AM
Every pet can be aggressive because it's an ANIMAL!!!!!!!

Animals are totally different from people - they act upon instinct.

Good call Atomic all animals should be considered aggresive if given the right circumstances. Instict does play a big part. Hey that comment you left about bully breeds was innapropriate... and sad see how we are towards one another. :( god forbid a moderator check what we leave for one another sometime! we would be shut down! lol

well since you're so into generalizations how's this? you are a big mouth who thinks she knows everything, but in fact hasn't a clue.

I don't believe that a bully breed is better than any particular dog. I love the breed because I grew up with them. It's merely a personal preference. Would I have other breeds? Of course! I do and will. I have a lab and boxer/blue heeler. I have an APBT. I plan on getting a maltese puppy in the near future. I also have cats. Do my dogs and cats get along? They LOVE eachother! They play constantly, to the point where it gets annoying to me because they always want to plan IN my lap when I'm trying to finish my homework. (I'm a pre-vet major by the way). I love all breeds. I work at an animal shelter. Am I careful with my pets? Absolutely.

Atomic Snowflake-

How do you explain the animals that rescue their owners from danger? How do you explain my dog putting her head in my lap every time I'm sad and laying their quietly until I'm ready to face the world again? How do you explain my cat burrowing under the covers and sleeping with her head on my pillow? How do you explain any action that an animal has based on love? Once again you are not considering the fact that humans are also animals. We also act mostly upon instinct. However, we, as well as other animals, have hearts. Not in the physical sense but in the sense that we are able to love. Before my cat was fixed (and yes that was my fault and I shouldn't have allowed it to happen) she had a litter of kittens. She would not birth until I came home. When I did she crawled over to me and used my hands as leverage for her feet each time she pushed. She allowed me to handle the kittens from day one. She came to me for belly rubs when she got sick of mothering them. Was that instinct? I really don't think so.

just because u raise a dog up from puppyhood dosen't mean your going to end up with a dog that aint animal aggressive. But you will have a dog that is used to other animals of diffrent sizes and a slimmer chance of the dog becomming testy with critters. Anyone with a breed of dog that has any kind of game in it, be it a beagle or a cocker should never say their dog will never get testy with critters because they were raised up from puppyhood with other animals. Yes, all breeds have this trait but some you have to watch more closely. jmo

Tiffany I am not insiting an argument so dont miss understand but most vets only have generalized knowlage of dog breeds and thier lineage. My daughter is also takeing courses towards animal sycology and has been studying dog behaviors for 4 years. She will need to obtain her DVM before she can get her syc degree.

Keep reading smart ass! you will finda lot of miss spelled words in my threads, but then again I dont think it really matters to most any way!

Tiffany how long have you been attending med school? I think it is great that you want to be in that field, I dont talk to many who strive to contribute to the animal world. I only wish I had gone that rout in life, but I guess I will have to live by others now lol. Good luck!
