No - he sounds about average - I have two pits, one was about 13 pounds at 10 weeks and my other was about 10 pounds at 8 weeks - so he sounds like he's right on track for about a 55 pound dog.

Most pits average between 40 and 60 pounds - though some folks breed them larger - the larger dogs generally tend to have more health problems, especially bone and hip troubles.

Mine was about that at 9 weeks and she was supposedly the runt of the litter. The parents were 40-50 lbs. Well.......12 months later and my little puppy is 85lbs of pure muscle. I have to walk her 3 times a day!
