You don't seem to have anyone responding yet. I have a 12 year old who is deaf and visually impaired and not many special education administrators understand the impact of dual sensory impairment. I am currently in due process with my son's school because they do not have a placement option available that is appropriate for him. I had to move in the past out of state because of a lack of placement options at school districts. Educating kids like my son is always challenging because he does not fit in any "box". You really have to think outside of the box to find what works for him and not many educators are willing to do that. It makes it hard. You can email me at [email protected] if you want.

I would love to help you out. I have two special need children. One with severe ADHD and possibly autism who is 8, and my daughter, age 5, who is delayed as a result of an illness. They both attend special classes and my husband and I are very active in making sure they get the best in their education. You can e-mail me at [email protected]
