Being hearing impairment is also hard for me because i have to speak the right away and i couldn't nobody would unstanding what i am saying. I am not very good at LA and Reading which lots of hearing impairment kids usually not good at. I have to go speech therpy a lots and have to learn sign langanges as a little kids. so yeah it not easy but im thankful for god to make me as a special kids

Hi - I'm a mother of two and we are the family of four with hearing loss. My daughter, Sam is 12 yrs old. She goes to Mainstream School and also taking speech therapy class. I grew up in mainstream and attending speech thereapy class in all grades. I speak well and read lips well but obviously with some differculty, at least we understand some. Always another way around to have them write down for us to read. I know the feeling of what you're expressing because I have a nephew that is also ADHD and hearing impairement. He counted as a special needs but we do not look at it that way - we look at him as a normal kid - just having problems with hearing loss. They use the word special needs for kids that needs special education or the needs of programs for them to use, not because they're 'special needs'. All kids with any handicaps are still normal kids - they're humans just like anyone else! I am impressed of your expressions and continue to do so!! Glad to help in any way. We all need to be treated as equal!
