Can someone please help with some info on how effective this therapy was for your child. My Daughter is 8 with Severe Spas Quad Cp with uncontrolled spasms. I would like to know if it made a big difference and how the surgery was and recovery time. Thanks Michelle

my son maalik is fifteen. he has porencephaly, cerebral palsy , spastic quad, and is blind. the baclophen pump was placed in his stomach when he was ten. it has been a great help. his extremities are less stiff. it has helped with physical therapy. the hospital stay for maalik was five days at childrens in oakland,ca. the home recovery went well also.the refilling of the pump iis 4 times a year and i have yet to have the pump alarm of fail.maalik is more comfortable i believe. we wanted him to have the best quality of life possible.
