| Have you talked to a physical therapist or your child's doctor about getting a special seat for him. There are several types of special seats available, by obtaining a special seating system for him it will allow him to sit alone. Depending on the kind of seat you choose for him you will be able to place activities either on a tray or a table for him to do. I know his upper extremities are probably also low tone but it will not stop him from trying to use them if given the chance. There are also many learning toys and activities for children like your son available.
