Hi. I live in CO and have a son with some physical and learning disabilities. I am having a hard time finding activies for him to do. He is ten months old. He has low muscle tone and doesn't sit alone yet. Any thing would help!!

Have you talked to a physical therapist or your child's doctor about getting a special seat for him. There are several types of special seats available, by obtaining a special seating system for him it will allow him to sit alone. Depending on the kind of seat you choose for him you will be able to place activities either on a tray or a table for him to do. I know his upper extremities are probably also low tone but it will not stop him from trying to use them if given the chance. There are also many learning toys and activities for children like your son available. Many of them are hand eye coordination activities that will entice him to want to use his hands and arms more as well as teach him.
