I lost my baby girl on March 30th 2008...she was born by emergency c-section at 26 weeks. She got gangerine in her intestines, so she is now my angel baby watching over me. I am really having a difficult time coping with this and I'm stuck in the "grieving" stage my whole family tells me....except I htought there was no set time for the grieving process?? I just really need somebody to talk to that is going to listen and be a friend...Thank you Rachel

Hi Mommy2Maddy i'm Mikaela I was born a twin at 25 weeks and i lost my older twin Brandon he only lived for six and a half hours. I was 731 grams and was oxygen for 2 years. I'm 14 now and my only real problem is that i have a husky voice but other than that i am relatively healthy. Also I'm so sorry to hear about your loss i know that this must be a really hard time for you but stay strong.

Dear friends, I am the grandmother of a 28 week 570 gram baby girl who was born last September and she is beautiful but not nterested in eating solids and my daughter is desperately unhappy because of this. Did you have problems with your little angels too? Please contact me at [email protected] if you can give me any advice at all. I am wishing you lots of love and happiness with your little ones and I pray for all the tiny souls who need the prayers.

Hi there,
I havent had a prem baby myself but I belong to a website called mycycle and there are women on there who have. There is one particular lady who had a son at 26 weeks. Maybe you could pop onto that site and ask??? You'll find her in the 'Im pregnant' ot "Babies and Toddlers" forums. Her screen name is Mrs Bueno. Hope this helps :)

On 10/21, I had my baby girl at 25 weeks. In Aug. I was diagnosed with complete Placenta Previa and was put on bedrest several times. When my child was born, she weighed 1pd 6ozs. Everyday has been an emotional rollercoaster ride. I have so many people praying & giving me hope but its so hard dealing with her being in the NICU, with an estimated stay of 2-3 months. I feel like its my fault that she came so early and I feel so disconnected because I feel like I can't bond with her being that she's in an isolette. I hear so many miracle stories of preemie babies and I'm trying to be optimistic & strong for her. I know I'm not in this alone but I need all the prayers & uplifting as possile. Anyone that is going through the same or have gone through the same experience, I welcome your input. My email address is : [email protected]

I am currently pregnant with a little girl. I have 2 boys already (8 years old and 12 months old) and was encouraged by all the posts. Even the not so "happy ending" ones. I was wondering what would happen if my baby came early and its so uplifting to see that God hears and answers prayer. Even when things seem impossible. Especially when things seem impossible! Thank you to all you ladies who have the courage to be a mommy. I appreciate you!

My first, born at 25 weeks. Kira was born though an emergency c-section brought on by preeclampsia 15Jan09 @ 2315 (1lb 10 ounces). Kira's currently in the NICU while my wife is being kept for monitoring in the nursing unit because her blood pressure won't stabilize, both are making progress with my wife hopefully being discharged tomorrow (b/p willing) and Kira making as much progress as she can with the milestones she has to hit. Kira was given as hot of steroids which helped her to breath and intubated shortly after joining us. Over the last couple of days Kira has been exobated and oxygen reduced down to 27% with the ultra violet lamp removed. She's a active little girl flailling her arms about and crying occasionally. For the next two weeks I'm on emergency leave from the persian gulf which doesn't give me much time to gather information and comfort my wife. Most of what I read on the internet is grim and it's too early for prognosis from the Doc's but after stumbling across this site I myself feel alot better about everything and I realize we're nowhere near out of the woods but I'm comfortable now in some aspects of what's happening. I got to hold her hand today inside of the incubator for a moment and I get a good feeling hopefully that says something. Any advice would help. Thanks
