My daughter was diagnosed when she was 1 and a half years old. She is now 8. She is a wonderful child and I'm very glad to have had her. For the longest time I was under the impression that my daughter was just stuck with this illness and there was nothing she could do but ot and pt. well i was happy with my daughter with the way she was and about a year ago i was persuaded by her school pt to do botox injections. well my daughter does not like wearing her braces that was made for her and i decided that it was too much for her and i to continue with all of the botox as well as the braces...i was under the understanding that the botox and braces were optional for her. now i am being told if she does not continue with the botox i can loose my daughter and that they will call the children services for child neglect. i don't feel i am neglecting my child. she goes to her family doctor and she goes to pt at her school and her dental and the rest of her health needs are being met...can they really make my daughter and i go through these things if i feel that she is perfect the way she is?
