hello i have a 5 yr old that has delays in fine and large motor skills and speech prolems. he fails all of the little tests they give him at school and the doctor. he is confused about alot in school. he seems like an average little boy that is hyper and has a lisp and doesnt pronounce some letters correctly but deep down there is more and his teacher is worried that he is lagging so far behind already.he is adhd but adjusts well on low dose meds . he is so tiny so we have to watch the amount given. (33 lbs)he gets very frustrated that he can write like the other kids or read,he has this confused look when we are trying to do simple sounds to teach to read.his handwriting is not real legiable.we can make out a letter or 2 which is way behind his peers. i work with him everyday and have been trying to get him help for 3 years thru the school and finally now they are seeing for themselves. we do not have a speech teacher at school at this time.he still has to have help dressing and buttoning clothes.. but we have no diagnoisis or no answers..any advice? we have had tos of blood work and are having a mri next month

Yes, I do hae advice. It's called Glyconutionals. It deals with cell to cell communication. I have personal experience, as my first grandson was healed from brain damage after we began him on this. Healed. I have personal testimonies of children like yours who have experienced REAL help when adding this to their diets. It's amazing, and I know it sounds too good to be true, but please look into it.

Dont give up it takes a long time sometimes to reach a diagnosis. My 5 year old just recently was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and he has had problems since birth. We still have a lot more testing ahead of us too. So sometimes it may seem like you are never going to find out whats going on but be patient and keep buggin the doctors to do more tests. Before you know it you can start to work on helping him. Try to find someone that can help with speech outside of school if u have to.

krycket-I have a 3 year old daughter with developmental delays. We've been to doctor after doctor and right now only have a "diagnosis" of global developmental delays. My husband and I have read just about everything we can get our hands on on this subject and we in our hearts feel like our daughter has Developmental Dyspraxia also known as Developmental Coordination Disorder. From your description of your son it sounds a bit like what we have read about on Dyspraxia...it would be worth maybe asking your doctors about and seeing if they think it might fit. Hope this helps.

Have you gotten a second opinion or seen a different doctor, more like a specialist doctor?

cnymom,

How do you feel about having a child with a disability?
