My child has a vision impairmaent and I feel like I got railroaded today. She stated that since my 9year old daughter is not two yearz behind she is not eligible for an IEP. She is at a basic testing level. Im not sure what to do know.

Don't give up, you are her mom and know what is best for your child. If she doesn't get the help she needs she will fall further behind. You didn't metion who said she wasn't eligible

i see that this was posted awhile ago, but wanted to offer some help. If the school does not feel that an IEP is appropriate...check with the school counselor about a 504 plan. This allows for children who need accomodations to help support their learning. With a visual impairment larger text may be beneficial.
