my 3 year old son was just diagnosed with lactase deficency. that is where he does not have the enzyme to digest the milk sugar. he was put on a milk free diet .no cheese or any thing ?anyone else out there with it?

I think that you can buy lactase drops to add to milk. I live in the UK and you can buy lactase drops for breastmilk and baby milk. They're called Colief and are excellent. Have a look on the internet and have a word with your doctor. Perhaps you could be referred to a dietician.
