My daughter got the news last week during an ultrasound that her little girl is missing part of her radial bone with a fused hand and a slightly receded jaw. Thus far, she shows no further problems. The radial bone is only stunted on one side. An ultrasound was done and now it's just time to wait for results to rule out genetic disabilities. It's possible the arm is just an anomaly but it's also possible that there are other problems. My 25 year old daughter is pretty depressed and I'm not used to seeing her like this. She is usually a very happy optimist. I've assured her that the family will love her little girl and help her to take care of the child. I don't know what else to say and suspect she needs some time to process with her husband to be. In the meantime, I am of course worried myself and don't know how to be more helpful. Any advice would be most appreciated.
