Hi , I got a new job about 6 months ago, that I recently discoved I HATE! It is GREAT PAY but very stressful and involves a very long training program (6-8 months) - I feel fine(no high blood pressure, diabetes, nothing) but have been just very tired and extremely stressed out so I had my doc take me off work... it will be a financial pinch and i'm wondering if i made the right decision...i feel SO GUILTY...but so much more relaxed...do you think I made the right decision

I packed in my job when I was about 24 weeks pregnant as it was very stressful and I dreaded going in to work. It was the best thing I ever did.

It's bad to be stressed during pregnancy so you're doing the right thing. You have to go with your instincts.

I'm 33 weeks (with my first) and just this week quit to stay home permanenty, I am dental hygienist and is was just too hard on my body to keep up don't feel guilty, now you have time to rest up, plan for baby and get everything ready, you won't regret it in the long run

Why don't you look into earning an income from home? I'm LOVING it!

May I send you information about my Program
and Explosive SYSTEM? If this isn't the best
business opportunity and *DUPLICABLE* SYSTEM
you have ever seen, show me yours and I'll
join with you.

I believe you did the right thing. Some studies show that stress can influence babies, unborn or not, in a very negative way.
I went on maternity leave at 28 weeks, and I'm going back to work in April, then back to school on top of that in September.
As for income in the meantime, have you contacted any faction of your government that deals with unemployment/maternity or parental leave pay? In Canada, as long as you contact them and fill out some paperwork, you get paid maternity/parental leave. If you live in the Sates, it shouldn't be too different. If you live in the US, try http://www.planetamber.com/resources/201.html
I don't know for sure, but I think that it is the equivelant of the canadian one: www.hrsdc.gc.ca
Even if you do not have sufficient hours from one job, they might look at the hours you collected throughout a period of a few years. If neither of those websites help, you could ask other parents or at the hospital where you gave birth, since they might have a list of resources.
Good luck!
