Be honest, that's the best way to go. Just tell him/her the turth on how far you are and that you are expecting to take a leave of absense. Go to your human resources, let them know and get information from them. I WOULD NOT (and I stress this) tell them you don't know if your coming back, this doesn't look good. Talk to them more about that after the pregnancy and talk directly to your Human Resources. When you tell your boss, stress that you wanted to inform him/her now, so that any training that needs to be done prior to your absense is taken care of. Still look like a team player, it will go in your favor later.
