I have a 10-month old and have been with the same marketing company fo the last 7 years. I am burnt out, but not sure if I need to find a more rewarding job, or if it's a sign that I should stay home with my cute kiddo. I'm worried that starting a new career in the same field will be even more stressfull hours to ramp up, but I can't stay stagnant where I'm at. Any advise from anyone? I realize that I am fortunate to debate this, as financially it would be tight, but do-able.

How about if you talk to your current employer about cutting your hours back at work so you can spend time w/ your kiddo. That's what I did and we agreed to a schedule of 7AM to 2PM, so I'm still full time w/ benefits but I get so much more time w/ my kids. Career moves involve benefits, vacation days/sick days - starting all over. We all get burned out at our jobs some point in time, I think this is nature. I have to ask, I know staying at home with your child sounds great but could you solely rely on the main income from your partner?
