Buy shoes that dont need tieing. Especialy at school or day care. it will come when he is ready. if you shove it down his throat he'll rebel. Telling time was really hard for our daughter. i didn't push and one day she just desided it was time.No problem. ↑ |
Start with a larger chord around his waist, Perceptually it is easier to learn. Once he masters it go down to his shoes. ↑ |
don't get hung up on show laces, there are worse things to worry about, just get the strap tying shoes, in my sons school, it is compulsory for their physical ed. classes that they have strap on runners, to save the teachers time supervising them getting changed, and he goes to a 'normal' school, so it isn't just adhd children that drag their heels on this front. excuse the pun. ↑ |

Just a suggestion! Have your son checked to see if he has dyspraphia. My son was diagnosed with ADHD when he was five. I really didn't care for his doctor so I decided to change doctors and have him retested. During that time the doctor determined that he has Dysgraphia. This impacts their fine motor skills. It causes them to have a difficult time with having neat hand writing and tieing shoes. Just a suggestion. ↑ |
