Name: Dani Title: I recently found out my son is adhd and bi-polar- Questions?

My 8 year old son is on risperdoal and strattera he is adhd and bi polar and I am so frustrated over it all. He's a little better but he still sneaks and takes things that aren't his and he couldn't tell you the truth if his life depended on it. He at times gets very angry and yells and he crys alot for no reason. Does this seem normal? or at least common?  ?

I have a 4 year old almost 5 similar diagnosis, but no meds, this sounds a lot like him, sweet and loving one moment and in full blown its the end of the world tantrum the next. Have you heard about biofeedback. no drugs but supposed to be great for 7 and up. It trains the brain to know what focus is and gives rewards when its achived. we are holding out for a better way than drugs our school here is wonderful and has helped tremendously. SIMPI@COMCAST.NET let me know how the meds are before and after tx we have been advised to use both but are waiting it out as long as we can. side effects are scary. long term neuro damage? and we cant live on any less sleep.  =
