In talking with mothers who have used meds, investigating, etc, I have found that every year to two years, they often need to change the medication. He could have a fuzzy memory because of the sedation effect also. I would maybe ask your doctor about switching medication. I have found doctors are not always direct in answers if you want to switch a med for any reason other than dangerous side effects. I would just ask to change it, and tell them your concerns.
Their are a couple other meds available that are not stimulants that are similar to tenex.
