HI everyone,
I am new here. My 7 year old son just entered the 2nd grade last week and we have already gotten a phone call from the teacher saying he is not able to focus,getting out of his seat and crying at the window that he wants to go home because he doesn't feel well. THis is nothing new to us. He is taking prozac for his anxiety and i do not want to put him on any more meds if at all possible, but the poor guy is miserable...I don't know what to do. We live in a rural area and there are not may school options around. :( ↓

It sound to me that he should not be on prozac. it sounds like he is add. You should problemly see a speacalist on add and have him tested. Maybe they can help you out. Maybe the medicime for add can also help his anxiety also. So he will only be on one med. I know how you feel my son is also in 2nd grade 7 yrs. old and totally understand where you are coming from. Tell you the truth I have already accepted calls from school I just gotten use to it I guess but I don't get stressed out like I use to I just try to see how i can solve it now. I know it's going to be a part of my life. ↑
