Mine would be.......my 21st birthday. I was able to take Allyssa, My preemie baby daughter, home from the hospital. She weighed 3lbs 4oz the day we got her home! ↑ |
My 16th and my 50th, both were surprise parties. My friends from my teen years threw a surprise party for me in the basement of my girlfriend's house. When I hit 50, my second husband and my bio daughter and a dear girlfriend reserved the church hall where we attend and threw me a surprise party. I LOVE dancing, hubby made sure I danced almost every minute of that party!!! Warm fuzzy memories... ↑ |
My very best was my 25th; Lou rented a white limousine, the driver took us into Manhattan to the Christmas Tree and Skating Rink at Rockefeller Center, (my birthday is mid December) gave me my engagement ring and proposed to me !!
Went back to my parents house, where my parents had a surprise party waiting for me, guests included Lou's parents and ALL the guests got the surprise of their lives ! Lou told noone that would be the "day", including his own parents!
Can't get better than that !!!! One of the best memories of my life !
Hugs-

Lets see. I think it has been the ones I have had in the last 8 yrs. One Doak and I met during our B-day week 8 yrs ago. And since then we have had really great B-days because they are only 3 days apart so it is always like Christmas. :) We both get presents at the same time. ↑ |
Carolyn, that sounds truly awesome... my second husband proposed to me in the Butterfly House at the Detroit Zoo. He wanted to set up a 'pretend' meal to propose over, but was asked to put the dishes away, they feared polluting the butterflies. So he put the stuff away and proposed... When my first husband proposed, his voice cracked when he said the word marry... oh well ↑ |
My 15th birthday...I had a huge party and the boy I was dating gave me a ring in front of everyone. At that age you think thats the best thing in the world. We stayed together for 3 years but never made it ↑ |
My 18th was pretty fun - my parents threw me a surprise party - I didn't even know they knew who my friends were (typical teen)! The next favorite b-day party was when my husband gave me a massage chair! I could have cared less who was at that party - all I cared about was that chair (and still do)! ↑ |
I would have to say my best birthday was my 26th. I bought my first home and closed the week of my birthday. Buying a home for my son and I had been a dream for about 2 years, and it happened the week of my birthday. :) ↑ |
Well, let's see - On my 100th birthday I got to meet the President of the U.S ( I won't tell you which one 'cause that would date me)!
What? You Don't believe me? Super hero's are immortal! ↑ |
