I am posting a situation I found on another list in case anyone is interested. I have nothing at all to do with this situation, just thought someone here may be interested.
We have a potential situation with a birthmother and newborn baby boy
born May 21, and are looking for profiles of interested adoptive families.
The baby has Down Syndrome and a heart defect that will require surgery for
correction when he is about 4-8 months old. He is Chinese. Mother is
seeking an open adoption, and she will return to China in a few months.
Father is her husband, and she has another child at home. I will know more,
probably tomorrow and hopefully, will be meeting with the birthmom early
next week. We are an agency in Kansas, and this will be an independent
adoption. If you know anyone who could provide a great home for this
little guy and provide access and compassion to the birthmom, please reply.
