Pierrot

I got that feeling as I read this morning. I did post to her about finding someone in NH. Since she is set on AP's from there.

I thought the same thing. I was reading the play by play last night wondering if it was her. I like what Susie and Susan said about hoping for that 1% so I didn't say anything.

Did anyone hear from her on email?

I thought the same last night when I read it. I thought that mostly adoptive parents work with attorney's, not birthmom's, am I wrong?? We've only been in the process for 3 months now so I wasn't sure.

the birthmom needs an attorney as well, to protect her rights.

Excuse me but I am not the same person. You shouldn't be accusing people of things like that. Thats one reason why birthmoms are afraid to come on boards.

Hi Carrie,

No one is accusing you, people just thought that you sounded similar to someone named Julieanne that posted here before. I know bmoms, or as jody put it first moms are cautious about coming here, but so are amoms.

Just be honest and I'm sure this board will help you.

Take care,
Susan

It sounded like an accusation to me. Even if it wasn't intended to be one.

Carrie,

No not intended to be one. PBMs want to protect their babies and they choose the parents they think are right for them and their child. Lately we have had alot of scammers and people that just wanted to be nasty. We are not accusing you just she was letting people know to be a bit protective of their hearts until they are sure. As you would until you are sure.

We hope you are looking to find a wonderful couple to get to know and raise your child. As others it is too bad we are not in NH.
We hope you find a great couple in NH. If I knew someone to put you in touch with there I would. Maybe your attorney knows a good agency or other attorneys that have AP clients.

Thank you for clearing that up. It's hard to filter out the scammers. I never suspect anyone of anything until I know more. I guess I am weird.

I am going to keep working with my attorney because I am more comfortable with him and feel more safer.

I did read the information. My attorney said he got some profiles of families from his attorney friend. If I don't find a family that I like from the profiles I can give him that information and he can locate a family from that.

Good Luck Carrie and if you ever need help or someone to talk with we are all here.

I will let people on this board know how it goes with the profiles. Has anyone heard of the family that adopts the child stay by the phone and wait for word that the mom is in labor and the family come hours after the child is born?

Carrieperson has been on here for exactly one day and yet she knows all about scammers as displayed in this post:
.Thank you for clearing that up. It's hard to filter out the scammers. I never suspect anyone of anything until I know more. I guess I am weird.
And then she knows all about adoption laws in each state as displayed in this post:
. every state has different laws.
And who could afford to go out and hire a lawyer and then not be able to keep a baby.
This whole situation reeks and is definitely in the 99% and not the 1%.

Birthparents do not hire the attorneys- they contract with them and the adoptive parents are given the bill- part of the agreement in the adoption contract- usually under mothers expenses.
