Hello ladies, I hope everyone is doing well. It has been some time since I have posted here. Life has been beyond hectic. My son is doing great (I can't belive how big he is getting)
Well most of you know that I had met a wonderful couple, and I was going to become their surrogate. Well we just did a clinical IUI, and everything was looking great. I took a home pregnacy test, and it came back with a faint positive. But when I went to the doctor, they said that the egg had been fertilized, but it did not implant. But that is the reason I was getting a positive.
Well the couple I was working with has decided that they do not want to continue. And I am both saddened and disappointed by this. The success rate with a tradional surrogate doing a IUI is about 20%. And it usually takes a couple of tries. We tried twice, and they do not want to countine. But I still want to help a couple have the most precious gift (a child).
So I'm pretty much back to square one. I know the right couple is out there. And when I meet them, everything will fall into place. I just have to have faith.
Well I just wanted to say hello, and let everyone know what has been going on with me. The older users on here know what I have been through. Thanks for reading this! :)

p.s. I hope everyone who looking to adopt finds their special little one!

Hi Mom sorry to hear it didn't work out but maybe it was not meant to be for that particular couple and your people are obviously still out there somewhere.

Wow does that sound too familiar lol. We were having a lot of different issues with our TS and decided not to continue and then I found out a couple of weeks ago, she had a chemical pregnancy! Ours was a little different it wasn't because it didn't take (infact finding out that my husband's swimmers could do the job was pretty exciting) but was other issues happening. So we also are back to square one. We are looking either to adopt and are still considering surrogacy, but nothing has come up yet. I did have an ad, but decided not to keep going on with it. It gets frustrating to keep trying and looking and hoping KWIM? Anyway, I am sorry to hear things went backwards for you. It is because of you, I even started to look into surrogacy (I thank you dearly for that insight) and I know you will hook up with someone soon. There is a right family and situation for everyone (I keep telling myselft that, gee I wonder if that is why I get those strange looks at the grocery store-like they haven't ever chanted before) Seriously tho, I know things will work out for you soon :)

Take care, Tina

adoption, yes you can use a surrogate. You just have to be careful because alot of states will not allow surrogacy if you are not married. But it can still be done. There is a great website you might want to check out...www.surromomsonline.com. Anything and everything you would want to know about surrogacy is there. Plus you can find surrogates looking for people to work with, and you can also place a ad looking for a surrogate. I hope this helps.

p.s. Also a lawyer who knows about surrogacy and adoption might also be able to help you. And there are also alot of good agencies out there. Good luck! :)
