Since everyone on here was so rude and mean and I have left this site. I have found an birth mom who went into labor yesterday and had twin boys, which I have adopted. They get to come home today. I just wanted to let everyone know that no matter how mean all of you were I did not give up my desire for a child and I remained a good person. And Karma was on my side.
So good luck to everyone on here in your journey's cause mine is officially over.

So angel, reality check .... NO birthmom can or will sign that soon, the reality twins will go home that fast , uhm not so much especially in an adoption situation most doctors watch out for the situation and keep the babies and bmom longer. Also it was a couple weeks ago you were here well all i am going to say is whatever live in your dillusions and get mental help honey.

Oh yeah angel you dont get to adopt that quick there are waiting periods and you are considered a foster parent while waiting out the adoption process.

Name: angel52392003 | Date: Oct 18th, 2006 4:49 PM
you are not a foster mom if the Birthmom is a friend of yours and you do it all with a private attorney. And you really dont know everything about all the laws in every state.

Sorry try again.

angel private attorney or not same laws apply

Name: Anne | Date: Oct 18th, 2006 5:48 PM
Homestudies are valid 12 months ONLY ! No exceptions!

Name: angel52392003 | Date: Oct 18th, 2006 7:52 PM
I had my Homestudy done 9 months and 2 weeks ago. You guys on here are amazing, when someone gets some good news or something good happens to them, no one wants to say congrats or anything good all you want to say is bad and negative things. Sure some of you googled my name and apparently found some stuff on there, but you know what you none of that matters, all that matters is what the birthmom thinks of me and what them sweet little boys think of me.
The opionion of no one on this site matters one little bit. So you go right ahead and cut me down and say bad things about me, cause all that says is your leaving someone else alone for that exact second and that you are all just to shallow to wish someone congrats.

angel dear please if and i say it lightly if you can afford adoption and a private attorney you can afford to go back to school and learn at least 3rd grade grammar.

Name: angel52392003 | Date: Oct 18th, 2006 7:58 PM
I dont need to go back to school for grammar thank you very much. I just dont see the need to put a period here or a comma there or whatever you have found wrong in my post.

I was just wondering some things, how are the twins doing? Were they born early, if so how early? When did the birthmom terminate her rights, what about the birthfather? Do you mind if I ask what state you are from?

The twins are fine, they were born about 4 weeks early, and one weighed 5lbs 4 ounces and the other weighed 5 lbs 2 1/2 ounces. We signed all the paper work 2 weeks ago. We had been talking about it all through her pregnancy though and just finally made the decsion to go ahead with it and signed all the papers. We was afraid her being such a good friend of ours that this might ruin our friendship. But we all talked about it and it wil not hurt us. We live in Arkansas and we used her Uncle as our attorney and he got things pushed through really quickly. As for the father of the baby she does not know who he is.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the birthmom can't legally relinquish her rights until after the baby is born.

Name: angel52392003 | Date: Oct 18th, 2006 8:54 PM
no she couldnt but we had the intent to relinquish paper made out. And the babies will come home with us, Then in 30 days it will be perminate.

I think I can post on this possibly better than any other, see I live in Arkansas. I know some of the lawyers here and the Judges. I know the in and outs of the process of the laws here.
First off it is a conflict of interest in Arkansas to work with a birthmom and adoptive couple and be both their attorneys. It does not mean they don't, it means it is unlikely. Also it is unethical to by the professional conduct code here. Also we had guardianship of a little girl for two years. As Arkansas is adoption friendly you can ask for a Home Study waiver if a child is in the home for longer than a year. Second I do not see how he could have that adoption final in two weeks. Arkansas has you do a ad for 90 days to give the birthfather time to respond. You have to show you tried to contact him. If you say she said she had no idea who he was you still have to run an ad for any potential father. And you can not say it is he is best friends with the Judge because our attorney was best friends with the Judge in our little girls case and they had weekend cookouts and she was placed for adoption with adoptive parents back in March of last year and she was not finalized for 6 months due to all the legal papers needed for the birthfather who had not signed and was unsure who he was.
With this, who might I ask was the Judge, what city, what attorney?

Angel,

The one thing that sticks out to me is you ststed you found a BM. Not you knew her and had been talking as you say. Then the next is if they were 4 weeks premature there is no way the Drs will let them go home in one day! My best friend had triplets yrs ago and they stayed 4 days to a week to make sure they were OK. And if you read some of Shaunas posts you may want to make sure the so called Drs let the boys stay a few days longer because her son is very sick and he was born early.
And just 2 weeks ago you were here looking for a PBM. So when did you meet this PBM and by the way those papers aren't worth the print on them. And adoptionready is right you have to post to the BF before any judge will let the adoption go through. It doesn't matter if the BMs uncle is an attorney. The judge isn't going to let it fly.

well you all think what you want but it all did fly with the judge. And everything is going through as planned. And as I stated I was looking for a different BM but I already had this option, was just scared to take it. The babies are healthy enough to come home but they are going to stay another night.. And not all premature babies stay over in the hospital. My sister in law had twins and they came home the next day exactly 24 hours after they were born. You cant base every baby on the ones that you know because all babies are different. And things do go quicker and smoother when you know people high up.. So think what you want but I am going to enjoy these little miracles and have a wonderul life with my perfect family.

I adopted once out of Arkansas and was a Police Officer and Legal Secretary there. Arkansas has a 24 hour waiting period before the mother can sign so there is absolutely no way she has already signed if she had them on the 18th as you stated. Also there is a 10 day waiting period in Arkansas where the BirthMom can change her mind at any time. Please provide the name of the Attorney in which you used and I'll personally verify your illusions. I am a Legal Secretary now in another state but I know many Attorneys in Arkansas since I've been in the law field since 1992.
No way those babies came home the same day and no way at all you have adopted them so quickly. It does not happen like that.

No Attorney, no matter how much he or she thinks are "best friends" with the Judge. They all spend leisure time with the Judges and their familes, they are co-workers, so to speak.
--------------------

adoptionready: You can use the same Attorney and it happens all the time. It is not unethical. Also you do not have to run an ad for 90 days, Arkansas has a Fathers Registry. Just wanted to clarify that also. I'm not sure who told you that bit of info but it is incorrect. I've adopted in Arkansas thru a Private Attorney (and it did take 6 months to finalize) and I'm also a Legal Secretary.

Angel,

First off, noone here believes anything you say.

Secondly you are updating us ? Who here do you consider a friend that wants an update ?

You have only been here and involved in controversy from DAY 1 you started posting, so go take your imaginary perfect family as you put it, and enjoy your dillusions.

I will say London was 5 weeks early and sent home 31 hrs post section, is now 18 days old and is so sick he can barely open his eyes. I however just asked my sons neonatologist about this and he said NO way in hell will 4 week preterm twins be sent home without 72 hrs of observation since they develop slower then singleton births, and let me say he is furious my son was discharged but the only reason he was is my 3 year old had a vital hemetology appt that day.

Liar liar pants on fire Angel!!
You wrote: Since everyone on here was so rude and mean and I have left this site.
Julie asks: so why did you come back...need to troll up some more attention?
I have some advice for you....if you're going to lie, do it well. You don't seem to possess the intelligence in order to back up your outlandish claims. I would advise you to use your time to get yourself a decent education instead of trolling the internet making a fool of yourself.

In the five years I have been a neonatal nurse, I have never seen twins go home that soon. But best of luck

I am new here and maybe I should not respond to this post but, I must have got lost somewhere, between all the controversy that is going on here. We used a Agency and Maybe that is where I became lost, even though it has been 2 years ago (almost), We could not leave the hospital before 72 hours. The hospital allowed for you to leave before 72 hrs. that is where the story became a little unbelievable to me, but who am I too say what you did or have not done, I just hope that you realize, what you are saying, does not seam very logic and for every word that you speak, there is action to follow and if, you are needing mental help or care from a psychologist, I am sure any one of us adoptive moms here, can say at one point in our life, we may have felt a little unbalanced and unsecured and needed some help, so do not be ashamed to ask for help, If that is what this post is all about. I hope I did not offend any one here. June

Wow... Angel I don't understand why you even posted this. If this was such a horrible site, why in the world would you come back here. And just to let you know, no Dr. will let a baby that is born premature come home the same day. My son was born 5 weeks early, and weight 5lbs 4 oz when he was born. They kept him in the hospital for 8 days. They wanted to make sure that he could control his body temp and could eat.
I truly feel sorry for you, what do you gain from coming on here and lying about everything. You lied in the past, and I have always been told...once a liar always a liar!

Get some help PLEASE.......

well you all think what you want.. But I know the truth and you never will I guess. I am just sorry all of you are so shallow, and heartless. And whoever said twins cant go home before 72 Hours is dead wrong cause my neices did.. They came home exactly 24 hours from the time they were born
