HI! We adopted our daughter 3 years ago. It was an amazing experience and are so excited to adopt #2!! We have been with a local lawyer in town for awhile now but his office seems pretty slow and does not get a whole lot of situations. I recently turned in our app/profiles with an agency. I was trying to get our name out there.... Are we allowed to ask for suggestions for agencies/lawyers on here? If so, I would love to hear if any of you know any good ones in FL.

i know this is off this subject but i am in north carolina , is anyone on this board in or near north carolina. we have been trying to adopt for about four years and its so difficult here. i was wondering if anyone knew of any places that are great here. ↑

Hey Marilyn and Momof1,
I am also in NC and we cannot use facilitators in this state, and the public system tends to only want you to foster first and then possibly beable to adopt. We are using Independent Adoption Center- located in Raleigh. They are great and have offices in several states. They are moderately priced- on a sliding scale based on your income- plus you will get a majority back in the tax credit.
Where are you guys at? We are just north of Raleigh in Wake Forest.
