I have to say that I don't know why I am posting here. I see so much negativity that it saddens me. There are so many precious angels who need a home and so many hearts that long to have an angel. God has a plan for everyone and I don't think that the nasty comments and blame game is what He has in mind. We have gone through MANY years of infertility treatments and have one son. We have not been able to conceive another child and are praying that we will be blessed through adoption. Our family is so wonderful and full of love that bringing another baby into our mix will make it all that better. I wish that all of you fellow 'honest' adoptive parents will find that special birth family & to you birthmothers out there searching for the perfect family to raise your angel, I pray that your wishes be fulfilled.
All my love,
Praying

I am one of the many many honest hopeful adoptive parents here and I do believe God has a plan. When the time is right, our baby will find us. I know God has a plan for us and it includes bringing a 2nd child into our family through the miracle of adoption. My almost 4 year old daughter is a true miracle in every sense of the word. She is a gift. She took 28 months to conceive, a suprise pregnancy while we started the adoption process in 2002 and was diagnosed with a rare heart problem-some doctors advised me to abort the baby-which I would not do. I think I am capable of one more miracle!! No wait, I KNOW I am capable of one more miracle.

nyjocool.....

I think its great that you decided to keep your baby despite the doctors suggestion. God rewarded you for your faithfulness and trust in him. I love children, the gift of life is a miracle in and of it self.... its amazing to me how God designed a woman's body to care for a child in her womb for nine months and then for the child to come out.... def. a miracle!!!

Thanks everyone. My daughter was diagnosed with heterotaxy syndrome in utero. That's where all the organs in the body are reversed-heart, liver, spleen etc. Very bad and potentially fatal.
After a doctor telling me at 20 weeks I should terminate the baby, I went to NYC to two hospitals and got scanned over and over again. They determined that her heart was on the opposite side of her chest, which is detracardia-but nothing more than that. All of her bloodflow was correct. Of course until she was born I was afraid that it was too good to be true. She also has a small hole in her heart which is closing. I hated that doctor for jumping the gun and advising termination. WHAT A MORON. Needless to say, he is no longer in my OBGYN practice.

I am really looking forward to the adoption adventure!

Praying there are alot of hopeful families here and a lot of unsure moms to be that consider adoption. Unfortunately, there are some negative, unhappy people who do have negative experiences with adoption. I feel bad for those people who were in those circumstances, had they found loving families maybe their outlook would be different. As for the scammers, well what can you say, I am searching my heart for something positive and can't find anything. The people that scam for money or even kicks alone and not nice people. I also believe in karma eventually it will come back and bite the scammers in the bottom :)
