I am pregnant and looking into adoption. I am due November 2,2006. I don't know what sex the baby is and I don't want to know. I am looking for a family that will come to the hospital when I call them. I am going to have my family in the delivery room with me and they will spend the night with me. My parents will be in the room with me and I want time with my baby. I know sometimes the adoptive family wants to be in the room and the hosptial when the baby is born and I know to some afamilies thats important. I also want the family that I choose to understand that I won't sign the papers in the hospital because thats not to personal and I want my adoption to be personal. I want the family that I pick to come to the hosptial when I call them and stay two hours. If anyone fits this description I will be happy to talk to you. I also want an open adoption and visits and letters and photos and emails. ↓

Hey Nanci,
I can appreciate your feelings on the hospital and have to commend you on being firm on your decision. We had an adoption fail last May- our birthmother chose to parent (totally her right) however she wanted us in the delivery room/share hospital room all of which we did because she wanted it and to be honest it was very uncomfortable. Also I think in the state of MI you can not sign papers at the hospital and the entire adoption does not take place until all parties go to court- I could be wrong but I do think there is a lot involved with MI adoptions.
We are looking to create our family through open adoption- visits, email, phone calls and photos. We think that it is important for the entire birthfamily to be involved- like grandparents and othere siblings (if there are any). We are originally from Chicago and now live in NC.
Where in MI are you from - my parents have a summer home in South Haven MI- my sister went to Northern and Western (she couldn't make up her mind!). I work a couple of nights a week for a major airline so that we have free flights ( I plan on keeping my job - approximately 10hrs per week to keep my flight benefits).
