Hey - pay attention to the paragraph written by BabyCrowd about this forum;
"Trying to make sense of the adoption laws in your state? Confused by the different regulations surrounding international adoption? Wondering what your rights are as a birth parent or as an adoptive parent? Just looking for adoption information? You'll find all the support and advice you need when it comes to child adoption in this forum."
Does it say anywhere this is a place to meet and match? NO! Maybe we should all email Hearthsone Communications (Contact button at bottom of page) and request that they add another line to this paragraph stating:
This is not a place for prospective adoptive parents and expectant / birthmothers to meet or match. ↓

That's the best thing you've done all day! ↑ |
I hope they don't read your posts! They might delete you too! ↑ |
or they could delete you for the way you treat people not only me ↑ |
I think I'm supposed to be ignoring you ↑ |
bump for the post - not response ↑ |
ITS ALL ABOUT SCAMBUSTER ↑ |
I have done emailed - school, english, language wow I could have sworn it should be I have emailed. Maybe I should call an english teacher and ask. The one thing that scam busters and others are catching these scammers on is there knowledge of the english language. So Angel is you are ligit you should know it should say I have emailed not I have done emailed.
I know, but I guess I got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. My DH is getting nervous about surrogacy. This what if she keeps the baby at the end, what if we do insems for 6 m and nothing. Just frustrated. :( ↑ |
Tamera,
Just so you know, not everyone from Arkansas talks like that!! I gotta defend my home state! :) ↑ |
Let's get back on topic - This is not a place to meet & match! ↑ |
I believe quite a few people got up on the wrong side of the bed.lol ↑ |
Bmoms and PAP's - this site is not a safe place to meet & match and it is also not the purpose of this forum. ↑ |
AMC, Sorry not meaning to insult Arkansas. My Grandparents lived out there las days there. And my aunt lives there and they don't talk like hicks. Go Razorbacks. LOL! Actually I am a Longhorn.
And Scambusters, I have to disagree to a point. We have met our surro mom here. True by chance but we did. Ad there are a few true PBMs that have met people here. It is just most do not. There are alot of scammers here but I have met alot on adoptads also. They just can't post, post, post. They just place a scam ad and IPs email them.
So I do agree to a point. But, good things have happened here. They just don't happen often. ↑ |
woohoo Tamera, I was born a Longhorn, MUCHO family there, moved in 5th grade to Razorback country!! Go Razorbakcs and Longhorns!!
oh and yeah I agree with Scam Buster about the intentions of this board are for interacting with adoptive parents, etc. Not a placing/matching forum. ↑ |
yup tamera, as long as there is cyber space, there shall be another scam awaiting. ↑ |
AMC did you live in Austin? Born in BMT, moved to austin for college and work. But, now in Houston. ut I did live in Tacoma WA in the middle for a yr. too gloomy. Always overcast. I need my sunshine! LOL! ↑ |
nope I lived in Odessa and San Antonio then moved to Southern Arkansas in the 5th grade. College: SAU ↑ |
I agree with post content. ↑ |
Scam, I do agree with you that although this site does not say it's a place for prospective adoptive parents and expectant mothers to meet or match, it also doesn't say it is not. Of course there are going to be scammers everywhere & God willing, adoptive parents or expectant mothers won't succumb to them. However, for people like me, who would rather not deal with an adoption agency or their sometimes expensive fees, I think this is a great place to start. No one is bound to anything contractually here & the site designers aren't responsible for any happenings here one way or the other (kind of like use at your own risk). And no, I don't have anything against adoption agencies other than their fees & I feel (totally MY opinion) if there are forums like these, it would really help a lot of people get through some of that long red tape. We already know in order for an adoption to be legal, there are attorney fees & legal paper fees, so if we can cut out the middle man (adoption agencies) to make the process smoother, I guess I don't see the harm in it. I think all of these topics fall under "support & advice" & this site does a really great job of it. Thanks for listening & take care. ↑ |
Suzie,
That was wonderfully said.
Tamara ↑ |
Scam Buster, as a prospective adoptive parent it is so hard to just sit and wait for adoption to happen. The parents to be are searching for all avenues to "match" we can't have our own children or we wouldn't be on here reaching out either with our own hope that the right someone will see our letters or be here looking for support and ideas from others. Are you an adoptive parent or are you just trying to rile up people? ↑ |
mommyinwaiting... Scam buster has come on this sight, and has done an WONDERFUL job in the past with scammers and liars that have come on this board. There was alot of things that have been posted here in the last couple of months. ↑ |
To all birthmothers:
****BE CAUTIOUS about individuals who solicit for the adoption of your child. For your safety, I recommend you DO NOT select adoptive couples from online chat rooms or message boards ↑ |
