" I can attest to both and unless you publish a retraction, will be seeking to take this further. Am I making myself clear or do you need a manual to help you? "

My Retraction:
I do not know who is, and who is not a scammer. And honestly, I do not care. From an objective point of view, I have seen posts written by other people who say you are a scammer. And, I have seen posts written by you who call other people a scammer. Attempting to apply libel laws to a chat room is likely to be a pointless task. Unsubstantiated name-calling is common on babycrowd and in many chat rooms, but unlikely to do serious harm to anyone's real-life reputation. I do not know you, I don't even know your real name. You are very angry that I informed people about the remarks made about you by someone other than myself on voy.com. I suggest you find the person who made those remarks and threaten to sue them. To anyone who cares, I do not know if juliedunesnet is, or is not a scammer. This is my retraction.

Also, you probably live states, or countries, away from whom ever made those comments about you on Voy.com. Are you really going to fly to where they live (which i doubt you even know where they live) and sue them for defaming a nickname?

Once again, I do not personally know juliedunesnet. I do not know this person's real name or where they live. I cannot attest to the character of this individual--good or bad.

Well lucky...it shows good character to print a retraction. I'm glad you wrote it. As you know I think highly of Julie. And I think highly of anyone who can admit to a wrong.

Deanna:

The fact that the Babycrowd board is unmoderated is to the advantage of scammers. That is why I post skeptical remarks.

It is an advantage to a scammer to be unmoderated. But you know I'm on a lot of boards and my remarks have never been taken off, not unless the whole topic, gets gone. I figure we are suppose to be grown here. Ignore the people you don't like, except for people who you know are scammers, then warn warn warn! Also expose their new names so some poor person isn't taken in. That is all you can do on a board.

Once again I see you can post part of a message and not the whole lot. You need to be very careful about doing that.
Luckey, yes there is a lot of finger pointing on here and other sites, but unfortunately for you you chose to side with the scammers and that is regrettable. I believe you did this in retaliation for other things that were happening on this board and you chose to ignore all the signs that would surely confirm who was the scammer. You also chose to ignore other posters on here that verified my character and you did not research the information prior to plastering it all over the web.
Posting what you did, (and across many forums) was spiteful and harmful. It is not up to you to decide if it did harm or not and you need to be very careful about what you print about a persons character. Just because you don't have the nous to find out someone's real name on the internet doesn't mean 2,000 other people can't.
Just for the future for you and in case you're tempted to do this to someone else, you are quite wrong to assume that Libel laws cannot be applied to what is written on the internet. A recent case awarded $11,000,000 to a woman who made damaging claims about a person on a public forum. I can get a court order to obtain your IP address and from there find your details.
No you don't know me, and that fact alone should have stopped you from posting what you did.

Juliedunesnet,
I have not chosen to side with anyone, and definitely not scammers! My point is I don't even know who the scammers are. That was why I tried to post warnings about the dangers of trusting people on the internet. That is what started this whole situation. I still do not think I ever called you a scammer. The poster on voy.com did. I did not. If you interpreted it in that way I am sorry.

Actually, this whole thing is kind of freaking me out. I did not realize that by stepping into this forum I was entering a vicious arena. Where people scam and con. However, this forum has scared me away from babycrowd for good. This is the first chat room I have every participated in, and the last.

I am not involved in all of this scammer detective work that many of you are. I was completely unaware of this "Janet Posey" situation. I am very confused and wish to stay completely out of this mess. I apologize to anyone I offended.

Thanks for your apology. I know you didn't know what you were doing but you did post that defaming information all over the net and on at least 2 occasions directly called me a scammer.

I am sorry.

I didn't really take this forum too seriously because many of the posts seem fake. I really did not realize I was stepping into a dangerous forum. I wish you luck in catching the predators.
