I recently contacted a woman that runs a baby orphanage in Tanzania. What she does is truly amazing. Currently she has 40 babies under that age of two at her orphanage. I asked her about adopting these little ones, and she explained in great detail that Tanzania doesn't allow anyone living outside their counrty to adopt. She suggested that I look into Kenya or Ethiopia. She advised that Ethiopia has a very easy process.

I just wanted to pass this on....

Kenya is very difficult to adopt from. They require anyone from another country to live in Kenya for a minimum of 3 months to learn about the culture and to give time for the child to adapt to you. After the 3 months you are still subject to their approval. There is also a lot of violence going on in Kenya currently because of a disruption in government. My husband is from Kenya and we were looking into adopting a .5 (biracial child- black and white), they still wanted me to come to Kenya for the 3 months
