I am sorry what you are saying, is not adoption at all, it is fostering, and even then it needs to be a long drawn out process. It is illegal for someone to just come and give you a child. You would have no legal rights, and could not even get healthcare for the child. The easiest thing would be to get guardianship, but this needs to be done through a lawyer, and approved by the courts. Without some sort of legal arrangement, you are leaving yourself open to heartbreak. ↑
