My husband and I have been trying unsuccessfully for nearly 3 years to have our own child. A year and a half ago, we adopted our first child through a private adoption. She is now 6. We would love to adopt a second child, a newborn, but I have no idea where to begin. Agencies seem so expensive and I wonder how necessary they are or if they are just trying to take advantage of people in an emotional situation. Does anyone have any experience with this? ↓

I'm using an agency and I not even paying $15,000 and that is including travel, lawyer, b-parent expenses and agency fees(which are broken up). I was only with them for 1 month and I was matched and we are leaving today for the delivery. In total about 3 months and we are going to be parents. You just have to do your part and using an agency is wonderful idea. We started a private adoption first and we were taken for over $7,000. Had I been with an agency they would have done an intake and realized that this young lady was total not even pregnant. So all in all, I so grateful for my agency to fair off unwanted scammers! Everyone's story about adoption will be different. Agencies mean less work for you, private means more work for you. Well I wish you luck and spread baby dust your way!! ↑

My husband and i are looking to adopt a bi-racial baby. We have been together for a year now and i have a 5 yr old little boy and 2 step daughters, 10 and 7. Before we met i didnt think i wanted any more children and had a tubal done. After we were together for a while we decided we wanted a baby of our own. We dont know where to start, if anyone has any experience will u please let us know? ↑
