A newborn girl a little over a week old who suffered in the womb with addiction, who suffered with addiction from the time she took her first breath died Monday morning about 1:00a.m. from heart failure unloved and alone.
Disbelief, shock, devastation, loss, sadness, anger, we cry for her, we cry for us.
Our chances of adopting her were as close as the the imprisioned birth mother just saying yes to relinquishing her parental rights.
Although my husband and I are still in grieving it cannot stop us from trying to fulfill this void in our lives, especially now.
