Hello, I don't post much but I read the boards alot. For the past 3 weeks my husband an I have been talking to a potential birth mom. I won't use any names or anything because she may very well be legite but after talking and exchanging emails and a few phone call with her and then reading the boards a few red flags went up for us. First of all abuse in the home seems like a very commen accurance according to our agency and attorney so again it may be true. The potential B.M I have been talking to claims to have been abused sexually by her moms live in boyfriend and the baby belongs to him. She is very guarded about it and does not like to talk about it. Sometimes when the convo gets to much for her it seems like she logs off and we hear nothing for a few days. She started calling us from a private number and we told her our concerns and fears and she then called us from an unblocked number. This girl is so nice and I really want to believe her but she sounds so much like a girl from this board who has been proved a scammer it scares me more than anything. We want nothing more than to adopt a baby but I can't go through the hurt again. Any suggestions? ↓
