Hi everyone,
Just wanted to offer my support for everyone going through or thinking about going through the adoption process. It's a very difficult time for both adoptees and those placing children for adoption.
I've been adopted myself and my adoptive parents have fostered and adopted loads of children through the years. I can see both points of view in the adoption process, however to both parties please think carefully before you take the plunge.
For parents wishing to give your child up, find out first about all the support that is available to you. There's alot of help/support organisations out there that may help + who will not judge you on grounds of background, age etc. There are many other options besides adoption such as respite or foster care or even mother's support where someone will come and help you. ( you really are not alone!).
For adoptees each and everyone of you will differ in your circumstances on why you are chosing to adopt. It is an amazing experience and a chance for you to give a child the life they truly deserve. I wish you every success!!!.
I became a young mum and now have 4 beautiful children. I was also adopted so know the social system inside and out. I wish everyone on here all the luck and success in the world. If anyone wants to chat please feel free...........
