Amanda - you can only "pay" for legally authorized expenses in the state of ny so I hope that is what you are refering to as "compensation". ↑ |

Telling someone you will compensate might be giving someone false hope. The only way you can give a mother anything is though an agency. In some states like mine it is illegal to give a birth mother anything. It is consider purchasing a baby. You need to talk to a lawyer before you do anything or you are gonna end up in jail or they might be able to take baby back because, you did illegal things during the adoption. If you don't want to pay for a lawyer yet go to a book store and get a book on the laws of adoption. Even if it is legal to give the mother stuff in your state. You still have to do it through their lawyer. The BM has to go to the lawyer and give the adoption lawyer a copy of all her bills. Then your lawyer and her lawyer get together and decide what is an acceptable amount because, of the laws in both states. Then what you give her will be done through the lawyers. Their never anything to be exchanged hands between you and her. Not even maternity clothes. Be careful. ' Love, Michelle ↑ |

One more thing this is also not the site to find the most honest BM. Posting something like this someone is gonna take your money and run. I promise you probably 98% of the BM that come on here are frauds. Be careful ↑ |
