2 things are strange about that story......the picture of the suspect doesn't look like she would be 200lbs and the mother describes the baby as having black hair and blue eyes. I didn't think babies developed their eye colour until so many weeks after the birth...is this right?

she may have blue eyes at the moment. Alot of babies are born with blue eyes but they change once they get a bit older. My son was born with the most beautiful blue eyes ever and he still has them!

the sketch could very well be a 200 pound woman, alot of women are pear shaped and thereforth their face does not show them being as big as they are. Unfortuante for me, I'm apple shape!

Julie... alot of babies have lighter eyes at birth if you have blue or green eyes in the family. My nephew was born with blue yes. My niece was born with green and they kept them.

About eye color at birth, if the babies eyes are blue at birth the pigment of them will either change to a form of green , hazel, blue or other variety of color, if a babies eyes are brown at birth the will most likely remain brown .... straight from babycenter.com
