You can not do your own adoption unless you have had the child in your home for atleast one year and they don't allow it in some states and they don't always allow you to if a waiver is asked for. I am not sure but in TX I don't think it is allowed even with a waiver unless it is a step parent. You need to call a lawyer and see if it is legal to file on your own. ↑

We adopted our son from TX in June; in TX you need an adoption attorney or an agency to handle the adoption.

i know an adoption lawyer but don't want to pay an agency its high fee i am very quick at learning the legal realm of things went through a generic paralegal course ↑

Natalie,

If you find your own birthmom, you can use your attorney to do the paperwork; or if he gets birthmom situations to present to you, that is fine too.

There is no paperwork that you can do on your own and submit to the court. Only an attorney or an agency licensed in TX can do that.

Hi Natalie, I think there are a lot of us here hoping we may meet a birthmom and become a match. But in addition to that, there are a lot of very nice and knowledgeable people here. Plus it is nice to talk with different people who have interests in adoption besides trying to make a match. Everyone has a unique perspective to bring to this forum. I also am hoping to find the right situation to enlarge my family. Good luck to you :) ↑

i am to just a little nervous about the whole process i have always wanted a huge family i have always had the urge to have and love about 10 kids so sorry if i seem to forward or blunt i am just trying to learn the whole process so that i can help my self and others between me and my husband have 5 kids between the two of us we have 2 together a 3 and a 2 year old so i am pretty busy but i crave more chaos have you ever noticed that the chaos almost becomes a lullabye and when your not going crazy looking for the headache at least i do my kids are sanity and insanity and i love it ↑
