Hello there everyone this is my first post here
and wanted to know if there's any other lesbians who are pregnant or have children. My partner and i have been together for 2 yrs and i've always wanted a baby. Anyway it's difficult sometimes and just needed to find out if others have had the same expierences ? |

You're totally blessed! Shariee (previous poster) doesn't have a clue, and will probably raise queer kids just because she is more concerned about your lives than she is about her own kids. I am helping a couple have a second child--their first is a 13 year old boy and he is one of the most well-adjusted (I am a therapist, BTW), adolescent kids in the neighborhood (who insists he's straight). I also know a number of queer families, and, yes, one of them has had terrible problems with their daughter, but the moms are substance abusers--no different from straight families, sad to say. Please accept love and support from this total stranger, keep it clean, and you go, girls!

I'm sorry you're having to deal with such horrible closed-minded people here. I am a heterol married woman, who's 10 weeks along, myself. I was raised by a lesbian couple and can say that I was harrassed far more for not buying "cool" clothes than I ever was for having two moms! Rest assured that if you and your partner are loving parents and surround yourself with a loving, supportive community (unlike what we're seeing in this forum, unfortunately), you and your kid will be just fine. I'd check around to see if there are any local LGBT support organizations who might have family workshops or chat groups. If you're anywhere near a big city, or even a smaller city with a university, there should be a community ready to help. And I'll repeat the advice that people have given me over and over: while you're pregnant, do what you can to surround yourself with supportive, positive-thinking folks who care about you and the baby and make you feel good about yourself. Now is not the time to stress over hurtful remarks from small-minded twits. = |

hi there, my partner and i have 2 girls (she was married before). we have been together for 3 years. one daughter is 5 and the other is 6. people don't really understand why we are together they think the kids need to be with a mother and father. but the girls don't seem to mind. they see there dad every 2nd weekend. you just need some supportive friends and family.
next year my partner and i are fostering a baby. but it may be different for us as we have the support of family. we did try ivf treatment with a sperm donor but that didn't work out. = |

kourtney thanx for the note you are the 1st person to reply to me on this site and all i can say is do what you think is right i will tell you older people these days dont know how to take a couple who is mm or ff but they will have to get over it lol i have a funny story when my mom came out to her parents they are older like 70s and 80s lol my grandma was like so if you are... is it contagious does that mean april has it what does that mean exactally lol i busted out laughin when she told me that but my mom was lie no its not contagious but she will choose to be however she likes you know her and so yeah i thought that was hilarious for some reason ppl think its like a dissaese which is rather weird but always do what you think is right for you your partener and always your soon to be child and i have to say a weird well probably the weirdest part of your upcoming childs life or atleast for me was when my boy friend at the time just popped out one day and said ummm... since ur mom is lezz would that make you a spit baby i was like ummm no but if i was it would be pretty cool and told him to get off the L word just to make it funny but this is really long so i will quit with my stupid stories i just had to tho i thought all of yall might find some humor in them lol but ttus bye lol

im sry you arent feeling well but if it makes you feel any better im not feeling to gr8 their i have my 1st doctor visit at 230 so im worried i dont know next to nothing about having a baby so im like yes no i dont no that sorta thing i just cant get over snezzing a million times a day and my head aches they are horrible i swear and dont worry im alone also bc my fiance did some rather stupid things and is currently in jail so atleast yours is coming home soon be happy

honestly hes in there until he can make bond and im the only one who will do that for him but the thing is i would have 2 find some one else who would talk to the bonds man bc im not old enough in ga u have to be 25 to do anything like that so it really sux hes had a bond for 3 weeks i believe but ive got to call his attorney and see how much time he will spend if he doesnt make bond soo yea stress stress stress thats all it seems to be for me in the past month up to now hes been in there since oct 6th so we went from every day 24/7 contact to an hour and a half a week and through letters so its not easy 1 bit but i know i can do this its just hard sometimes he said all he wants to do is get out to go to work so he can support me and our child that he wants to be with me through me pregnancy and doesnt want me to go through labor alone with out him so thats helpful thinking that hes going to stay but i just wish he were out lol it would be so much easier!

Oh sweetie that's tough, yeah i can read the stress in your writing. I hope he gets out soon and can help you out. I'm sure you could probably use a massage. I know i could. I'm really starting to put on weight and it seems my back hurts more and more everyday. But like i say this is just the joys of pregancy, right?

the main thing im nervous about the whole doctor thign is @ 11 2 day which idk where your from so about two hours ago i started bleeding kinda like i was starting my period but its not heavy its light thats another thing of why im scared to go to the doctor bc i cant lose this baby if josh my fiance has to be in jail a while i wanted to have some peice of him with me and ive never be pregnant before so i figured my parents would flip bricks but they are happy and with me and the strangest thing is my step-mom ummm well she said if josh is not going to do good that i can do it on my own and she would help me she already said i needed to move close to them bc she said she would baby sit for free so her grandchild wouldnt be going to some person where you really didnt know if it were being taken care of or not so thats a releif i could work and she would watch my baby she already watches my 4 month old nephew and so yea i really want my baby right now im just scared of what the doctor might say that and im affraid of neddles lol josh laughed at me and said he was sorry he couldnt be withme but i would have to soooo now i really am i only have liek 30 more mins before im leaving but i havent got any work done bc of this im so worried so yeah i think this one is really long lol sry ttus

hey kortney i went to the doctor thurs and was 7 wks 1 day im healthy and so is my baby so we are ok he said that it was a threatened miscarriage but the baby has a strong heart beat 155 bpm and was 1.09 cm lol so im gunna have a big baby lol bc i read at 8 weeks its supposted to be 2 cm and i still have till wed to be 8 wks so yeah its gunna be tall lol and im only 5 ft so ya know but ttus and hope you had a gr8 weekend

im fine but the more and more i read on threatened miscarriages it worries me i heard its heart beat lol it was really diff but super fast and loud so i think everything will be fime i will keep saying i just wanna go to the doctor to find out for sure but the flip side of things josh got a probation hold on sat so hes not gettin out his child will probably be around 8 months to a yr old before he ever gets to see him/her face to face w/o glass between them so that worrys me but ive picked 3 names boy and girl since i dont know what it is yet i love the girl names which are Zoe Lachelle bc my middle name is michelle lol or Zoe Emma and if its a boy i like Joshua Blaze but my step mom doesnt like blaze bc i named my dog blaze bc i loved the name and thought of my dog as my child but since im having a baby i would want its name to be blaze if its a boy but i really want a girl i think bc i love those names but ttus and btw do you know anyone or know anything about the doctor telling them they are having a threatened miscarriage??? but ya ill let you go and i hope you feel better soon i havent really been all that sick so idk what to think

Wow those are some great names i really like Blaze for a middle name. That's good you haven't really gotten sick yet.
I have a girlfriend who was told she might have a miscarriage b/c heart rate was so low. But she carried full term and now has a beautiful little boy. I'm sorry Josh won't see your child face to face for awhile but i'm here for you sweetie so stay strong honey. = |

ty yes josh really knows now that he messed up so yea and what you said about your friend helps gr8ly the doctor said that me and the baby were perfectly healthy though and the baby heart beat was really strong he was shocked lol bc im not that far and it wasnt hard at all to get the heart beat but i guess i am going to be a mom i have the worries already lol i just want it to be healthy wether its a boy or girl so yea i got pictures to and i showed them to my coworker lol she was like wow you can tell its a baby and not a dot lol but yes i also agree that i think it will be a rather big/long baby so lol by the time its about 8 it should be taller than me lol aint that crazy i think its funny but bye

Yeah that's funny your gonna have big baby and in turn have a big kid. My girlfriend calle me last night and told me she has to stay away on business for another two weeks. I got so upset and i've been crying a lot. I just need her here i miss her support and love.

yes lol the guy that has always had a crush on me and swears by it when we went to school i liked him lol he helped me move my stuff lol josh would be rather jelous lol anyways his name is tobby lol its really weird he said that anytime i needed to wash my dishes to tell him and he would do it last night he cooked at my house lol with some friends its very funny from where i am i dont know what else to do but laugh and he also has made sure no one smokes in my house and he quit smoking yesterday lol ummm and he said that he wants me to go night fishing with him this weekend or go out clubbin keep in mind i am preg lol its really really funny

yea he met my dad bc of the moving and told him he would make sure i was safe and taken care of he offered to wake me up @ 630 this morning so i wouldnt be late for work lol and the weirdest thing of all i had some friends over and he kept telling me i needed to go to sleep etc etc when 11 rolled around he like cleared my house out told every one i needed to sleep and then poof every one was gone i was like dam it im not goin to sleep yet lol it was weird and yes i do believe he has other intentions and im not quiet sure how to react to that yet lol and the bad thing is lol im 8 days older than him and he made sure every one heard him saay ive got to have a good night hug i was like uuu ok w/e

My partner Michele and I have been together for over 10 years. I just had my first IUI Nov. 1st and 2nd. I was suposed to start my period yesterdy, and so far Aunt Flo has not visited. If I do not start , I will have a blood pregnancy test done on friday.
Most of our friends have kids ( they are straight) and my twin sister just has twins a year ago after trying for 3 years. I am 35, so we couldnt wait any longer. We checked into adoption, but never really felt comfortable with any of the social workers. Good luck to you and your partner. = |

Hey Rene i got pregnant from a good friend of ours. We talked about having a baby for awhile, and we planned it out when i would most likely get pregnant and i did. On a different note i miss my gf so much it feels like forever since i've seen her beautiful body.

If we could choose the sex, it would be a boy, but as long as the baby is healthy ( I am 35, so the risks get higher), we dont really care if it is a boy or a girl. Do you have a name allready? That is so cool. We used a sperm bank, so we know A LOT about the father , but we never met him. He is Italian , like my wife, so hopefully it will have the dark thick curly hair, olive skin, and brown eyes like her.... :) For a boy, our name is "Lukas James" or "Preston James" and for a girl it is "Samantha Leigh" or "Olivia Grace" or "Izabella Grace"...not sure yet. COngrats again. I hope I am pregnant. I wont know until Friday ( and if I do not start my period). ....please keep us in your thoughts. Thanks!! = |

Our neighbors' litt;e gir; ( she is 5), her name is Morgan. She is so cute with her long hair and thick glasses. Aunt Flo was here Oct. 18th, I had IUI incemination on Nov. 1st and Nov 2nd ( both days). I had an internal ultrasound done Nov. 4th and it showed I did ovulate. I had blood drawn Nov. 7th, and my progesterone level was well over 25.
Aunt Flo was suposed to be here Nov. 15th, but so far she aint in town!!!! :) I get a blood test tomarrow morning. = |

We just had our first sonogram and it was totaly overwhelming for me, I just laid there looking at the screen and feeling numb. My partner on the other hand was elated. My partner and I cried, held each other, and are completely bummed. The hard part was calling and telling my Mom it didnt work this month. I am still numb with the whole experience.

Still sad , I really thought it was going to happen for us this time. ( Even though this was the first incemination we did). I have an ultrasound apt. on Monday, and will start the clomed meds and go through the process again. The hard part is just knowing it didnt happen , and we need to start the emotional rollercoaster again. Thanks for the prayers, I need them! Thank you!!

Kortney: I will be taking Clomed for 5 days, Metformin, and the day before incemination a HCG shot in the hip. They are all meds to help with ovulation ( even though I have no problems with ovulating)...Then a few days after incemination, I give blood to make sure my progesterone levels are high enough ( which is the thickness of the uterus lining to make the egg attach).
I know it sounds like alot, but the hardest part of it all is the 2 weeks of waiting. = |

That does sound like a lot. But the waiting would definetly be the hardest part. I also don' t like needles i don't know what i'm gonna do when i go into labor.

Funny you mention the needles thing...I had to get hypnotized in order to have my blood drawn..... :) I know...but truely , it helped. I still do not like, and I dont watch while they do it, but I can it, which is a small miricle in itself. :) You will do fine during labor...you're lucky!!!

Wow hypnotized huh? i'm gonna go for a natural birth at first we've gone to lamaze classes and i'm going to try to avoid and epidural but I don't know if i'll make it. My next lamaze class is tonight and i have to go alone. I so miss my wife.

hey kortney i take it u didnt have a good weekend im so sry but after a week i got 2 talk to josh for almost 15 mins but i was supposted to meet his mom and turns out things happened like i stupidly lost my wallet w everything in it and couldnt go and i made her cry bc she thinks shes not going to get to meet me and shes not going to get to be in the babys life etc etc i felt horrible it was sooooo bad i almost started crying but told her i would reschedule and i get to go see josh on sat im so happy i havent seen him in a week and this past week has been rather depressing im waiting for one of his letters to cheer me up a little hes told his whole family im his dream girl and that we are going to get married so lol i just want him out i wanted him with me when i went into labor and right now its not looking to bright but ttus

hey kortney how can you tell if the baby moved lol i have no clue but 2 day mainly ive been like having to get up and down a lot more than normal and i would have a sharp pain i guess in my abdomen but it doesnt really hurt its just there then it will go away so idk what that is if its anything i was jw bc the last time it did it was like 5 min ago and yea so im just curious i dont think i would b able to feel it now anyways but curious never hurts any1

my family will b but idk who i want in there with me i wanted it to be me and him and me to have a water birth bc we both love to swim and our signs are both water signs and i thought it would be more relaxing etc etc and he could b there right with me in the tub to hold me and help me lol but thats just a dream he said if he gets a 10 do 4 he will have about 16months so he should get out about the time the baby is about 8 months old :(((( so i dont know i just wanted him to be with me bc ive never done this befor u know ur partener is supposted to cut the cord etc thats what will hurt me the most that and my baby will be iligit and my parents think im giving it my last name but im not bc we are going to get married its just a matter of time u know so im not really sure right now its all hitting me really hard i feel like crawling in a corner and crying my eyes out but i know i can do this i have to for my unborn childs sake so yea young but pwoerful i say lol

i want to but i dont think its offered where i am i really wanted to push to get it here lol by june but i dont know where to begin and im afraid if i tell my step mom she will laugh and say im funny but ive read on it a tad bit and i really want to do it but with out josh i just assume do it the regular way since all in all no matter what ne one says i will feel alone anyways just bc i didnt have to spend a lifetime to find my soul mate and now hes been taken away and left me all alone i never in my wildest dreams would of imagined that the 1st time i were to get preg the father would be in jail lol i guess you could say its still hitting me hard seriously all i do is ponder through the letters hes wrote me and i thought there would be no chance i would b able to stay with him in jail for over a yr but now i truely couldnt c leaving him just bc of it not only for my child but for me and i havent said this yet lol it sounds bad but we only dated a month before he went to jail but we were with each other 24/7 sooo im confused and scared i just want josh back thats all i want josh and a healthy baby ;))

yes it was only a month to my surprise so he got me basically in the 1st 2 weeks lol i wasnt explecting it but im fine now i just want to see another ultrasound hehe it was kool just sad josh wont be able to see anything but the pictures i mail him sooo yea im actually really happy im preg lol bc i dont party i hang out with older ppl who have kids and its like ok i mean i take them to the park and shopping lol etc so but now they are like are you serious lol i think its funny but unlike every 1 else my age i dont party no drinking ive never done any kind of drugs ever i like to be able to support myself etc so i would say im more mature than most my age
