My son is 5 years old and is in a main stream school, going to a special school in September (they have no places at the moment) for austistic children. He is statmented for social communication and shows signs of being on the autistic spectrum, more so aspergers. I have come to my wits end as I have been trying to seek help since he was 18 months old with his behaviour.
He can become very aggresive at times and there is no talking to him, it gets me down mentally and physically. He is hard work very tempramental, the littelest thing can set him off. He's had speech therapy in the past and is still needing more, his vocab is brilliant its just his understanding! I have tried every reward scheme and chart and time out thing going! You name it I've tried it, but now I just want them to hurry it up, not for a label but so I have something I can work on and know what help to look for and where. Any suggestions wud be a great help thank-you. ↓
