I have a 23 year old son that has autism. My son usally does bad behaviors for attention. Try to ignore it a couple of times.and see if it helps. If not he may be obssessed with holes. Try finding like playdough or something else that he may like the feel of . Could it also be the feel? Have you contacted the resource center for autism. They have been a life line for me.
If you have any more question or concerns you may contact me at [email protected] ↑ |

Oh yeah, I can one up you in the gross department. My son's favorite pastime for a while was playing with his poop. He still does it from time to time, just for kicks and giggles. Consistantly and firmly saying "NO, NO...thats yucky" seemed to work. I also think he liked the attention, because it meant straight to the tub, his favorite place. Finally, I would admonish him, rinse him off very quickly and pluck him out of the tub immediately. I realized that let him take a bath after was a sort of unintended reward. I believe, he then associated, hey play with poop, get a bath....so he started doing it on purpose:) ↑ |
