I was talking to her earlir because her birthday is coming up really soon and I asked her what she was going to do for her birthday. She told me the truth about how every one of her birthdays has been miserable and that she cries at least once everytime. I believe her because I saw her crying last year and plus it seems like none of her parents even care about the whole thing! She has been through a lot and i REALLY want to make this one special! But how?

P.S.
What's even worse is that her boyfriend is going to miss her birthday and I really want her to have fun on her birthday without being depressed that her boyfriend is gone but she says that's pretty much impossible :(

To caring friend,if you really want to make your friends day special, buy her a gift with a really nice card and invite her to stay over at your house. If you have mutual friends, invite them too and tell them to bring her a gift if they can and order pizza and bake her a cake and just goof off and have a good time together. She will certainly be glad you cared enough to go through the trouble for her and it will make her feel important and loved. Rent movies and make popcorn and just have fun!
