An Environmental health group has called for an immediate ban on bisphenol A (BPA), which is used to make baby bottles and other plastic food containers. They say that BPA is a synthetic hormone, having similar action as of estrogen. The chemical is used to manufacture hard plastic bottles and food containers. The study reveals that 95% of baby bottles made in North America contain BPA, and it is present in all leading brands including Avent, Evenflo, Dr. Brown’s and Disney/First Years.
