my son didn't crawl until he was 8 months...every baby is different. my son has been slower doing just about everything..didn't sit up until 7 months, crawl at 8, walk at 13, and he's JUST NOW starting to say short words...like mom, dad, no, and he's 2 1/2. don't worry about it just yet.

Don't feel bad. My baby is 5 1/2 mos. and hasn't rolled over yet. She sits up really well by herself though.

awww she will crawl when she is good and ready!
I am a nanny for two children (14 mo. and 3) and have been looking after them since the youngest was 6 months. He is a BIG boy and couldn't even roll over at that point. and is just now starting to walk.
They say that crawling goes hand in hand with the "separation anxiety" that babies usually get around 8-16 months. But I think every baby truly does things at their own pace and as long as he is being stimulated properly according to his age he is juuuuuuuuust fine! =)

Thanks a lot for your support.Hope she just roll or crawl. Her head is very big and maybe that is why she is not doing any of the things.

hi i think your daughter's fine, although if your still worried i'd take her to your local gp, but if you want to help her on her way i used to put mine on the bed on her tummy in a crawling position every day for about 5mins she'd then try to crawl forward, they do tend to drag thier head a bit at first but keep an eye on her so she doesn't suffocate, just put your hands behind her when she kicks and she'll be off in no time=)

Sinj shes only 7 months old theres nothing to worry about. A baby can crawl anytime upto 12 months. Some do it earlier than others your stressing about nothing, I would only be concerened at this age if your child wasn't rolling and didn't have muscle tone. Relax she will crawl when shes ready enjoy it while shes not moving.

my daughter didn't start crawling until 8 months old, but she still didn't TOTALLY do the typical "crawl" (on hands and knees), until she was about 9 months old.....some baby's are faster or slower than others...there's nothing to be concerned about.... :-)

Ok.. Not to one up anybody but my son, who was 8.5 lbs at birth, had to be taken for a CAT scan at 6 months because his head was so big. They were thinking encephilitis or something horrible. Anyway turns out it was just a big ass head, full of brains of course : ) Moral to the story is that the poor boy didn't even roll over til he was 7 months. Trust me girl, you'll be soon be wishing she wasn't crawling!!!!!!

My son didn't crawl til he was 10 months old. He scooted and rolled around for a couple months before that. He walked at 13 months. He is 2 years old now and perfectly normal. His pediatrician explained to me that a lot of babies are crawling later now because they sleep on their backs, and get less time on their stomachs than they used too. She also said that she thinks that babies are either early walkers (do physical things well) or early talkers. Mine was a very early talker and talks like crazy now. So, every baby is different. I do not think you should stress about this yet, if not crawling is the only concern.
