My wife of 8 years abandoned my son and I for my best friend of 18 years. I filed divorce first after I learned of the affair. I currently have primary residential custody of my son. My ex is now attempting to challenge the divorce decree and custody papers. Does anyone know how a single father of a six year old b oy has a chance to keep his son in his primary residential custody?

you need a good job, stable home and the ability to show your child can be taken care of while you are at work. I do not know the particulars of your case but it would help if you can proove the mother unfit in any fashion.

My wife wanted full C of my daughter. I just told her we would have to go to court and it's going to cost a lot of money but if that's what she wanted then lets do it. She came back and said ok I will sign for 50/50.

Even though she left you for another man you can NOT bad mouth her in court. I had a friend go to court and tell the judge how good of a mom she was and that he wants the kids to see both of them as much they can. She went in telling how bad of a dad he was and making up lies. End result is that he got full C of all the kids.

Should have told less lies, should have been a responsible parent and made plans to have another pick up your son at the bus stop instead of leaving him there alone, should not have argued with judge over your ex wifes boyfriend going to pick up your son that you left alone at bus stop
