I am 18 weeks pregnant and i still haven't felt the baby move. I go to the doc on the 22nd of this month, but i'm still wondering if this is normal. I will be 19 weeks on the 25th. Anyone else not feeling or did not feel the baby at 18 weeks.

Hey there Pam. I am speaking from expierence that it is normal. some women don't feel anything until they are 20 weeks, and some dont even realize what they are feeling is movement! any sort of tickle, or butterflies in your lower abdomen are probably the baby. and sometimes the mom is just active when the baby is moving and cant feel it! of course i am not a doctor though so still talk with him about it when you see him or her. but until then dont stress, that is bad on baby. if you some more support you can e-mail me at [email protected]

Hi Pam,
It is normal some mother cant feel the baby moving!. Like what I experience I can only feel my baby when I was 28weeks, before that I only feels bubbles.
Anyway if later stage like about 28weeks you cant feel your baby moving for 24hours, please see your doctor. Naturaly 28weeks and above you should feel your baby moving atleast 3times in 12hours.

Take care of yourself and baby.

Hi Pam, I am 19 weeks pregnant and I have been concerned about the same thing!!! I go to the doctor tommorrow to see if everything is ok and to determine the sex. I tryed to find out two weeks ago, but the baby had its legs crossed. This was the only appointment that my husband had not been able to attend, so I guess it wanted its dad to be there as well. But on the ultrasound the baby was moving, so hopefully I will see the same thing tomorrow. Good luck with everything. When are you due then, in Jan? I am due around Jan 25th. Let me know how your doctors appointment went. Good luck If you want to email me, my email address is [email protected]

thats what i hear, that the baby usually starts to kick and move through the 4th month and i am only 16 weeks pregnant. the other night me and my bf had to wake up at 1 in the morning to talk to someone, but anyways, and when we got back in bed we were just laying there. i felt something a little afterwards and i was like " my baby just kicked or that was a very odd gas bubble..." lol...but after that i kept my hand down there for a while and sure enough the baby was either moving or kicking. my bf felt it too...it was soo wonderful..good luck and best wishes,

I just turned 19 weeks on 08/31/05 And on that day exactly is when I first felt him move. They say it could take up to the 22-23rd week. Don't worry this is normal

Most 1st time moms don't feel the baby move till even their 20th to 23rd week.
If you are still having pregnancy syptoms, no that your body believes you're still pregnant.

Try not to worry yourself, babies have minds of their own. Your baby might be lulled when you are up and active, he may actually move more at night when are more still and alseep. Sometimes, it's like the babies enjoy playing little tricks on you!

i am 18 weeks along and am scheduled for my level II ultrsound next week. i am nervous. i have taken two tests already which showed no indication that the baby has down's syndrome. on previous sonograms i've seen the limbs (along with every thing else!). the baby was even sucking its thumb. can anyone help allay my fears about this level II? thanks

Hi Well I am going threw a similar thing. I am 15 weeks pregnant and for a week straight I felt little sensations in my stomach. Now I have been very streesed and crying every day about living issues and I haven't felt my baby move. I go to the doctors Weds and is very nervous.

I'm surprized that you felt movement so soon. I didn't feel anything until I was 18 weeks. And it varies from day to day. Some days she's very active and others it's just a little here and there. She really gets a "kick" when I eat sugary things, but I don't do that on a regular basis. And to Janet.....the level 2 ultrasound is something they do for everyone. I try not to worry about anything unless I'm given a reason for it and I can't shake it off. I went almost 3 months without knowing I was pregnant!!!
That's a scary thing because I drank whiskey on the weekends with my friends and smoked a little mary jane. But as soon as I found out I stopped everything even caffeine or anything else that I think is harmful.....and so far (which I do thank God) with each ultrasound that I've had things look good. But I just tell myself not to worry that I'm doing everything right now....that's all we can do.

Pam, this is normal, especially if this is your 1ft baby, your probably not sure what to expect, do you get any kind of gassy feelings, or butterflies fluttering in there!
IF so this is baby moving,
lie down and make sure its quiet and start rubing your tummy slowly and im sure youll feel baby moving somehow, and if you still dont then maybe your baby is sleeping at the times your active and in this case you cant feel baby moving,
and maybe this baby is not as active which count yourself lucky, i had that with baby no 3 and he was an awesome baby, slept all the time and was so placid and believe me, the first few weeks after having them, your that tired that thats what you need!
but all is fine i am sure, all the best and take care!

this is my 3rd pregnancy and i am almost 19 weeks. with my first i felt him move by 15 weeks constantly, my 2nd was a miscarriage so i never got to feel that one move. this one i haven't felt move yet, just once over a week ago. my doctor says it is common to not feel anything till 20 weeks, if the baby is msaller especially. also if the placents is in the front of the uterus instead of that side or back you may not feel anything for quit some time.
