Those could have been Braxton-Hicks contractions. They start at the top of the uterus and work their way down. It's just your uterus "practicing" for real labor...at least that's one way to explain it. Women can start feeling Braxton-Hicks as early as 15 weeks (maybe earlier) and they don't mean you're going into labor. It's good that you timed them. When you start feeling contractions that last a minute each and are only 5 minutes apart, you should call your midwife. I hope this helps, and good luck! ↑ |
Elle, I have had braxton Hicks and these were different Today I called the midwife and was able to get in to see the doula. She said It looks like the baby shifted . I went from carrying mostly in the back not looking all that big to being really big in the front. I can hardly wait to have my baby ↑ |
