As I said all I want to do is cry and sleep and I haven't been officially pregnant for 48hrs... silly me.

I am going to go to the drs tomorrow (approx 24hrs from now... if I can get an appointment). I am so scared of having a miscarriage but I am relaxing and taking it easy. Every little pain I read into, I am sure I will stop this soon and realise it is just my insides growing stretching and changing for my little one (or should I say my little clump of cells).

What advice do you have, what should I know... I feel so hopeless.

You're not hopeless, everything you're feeling is natural. Don't worry about a mc, try to relax and enjoy the pains of pregnancy. I knew in my heart you would end up pregnant and I know in my heart you will have a beautiful baby. This is your dream coming true! You've got 9 months of pregnancy hormones that can make you happy one moment, then teary the next, than upset or angry the next.

You will be very tired for a while and the urge to pee will drop off a bit, right now your growng uterus is causing that but then near the end you'll be peeing nonstop, lol.

I still can't believe you are pregnant! I've thought about your happines since you shared with us and it just brings a grin to my face. After all you've been through. Congrats again.

From my experience in the first trimester of pregnancy, all I wanted to do was sleep and cry, too. :) So I would say consider that very normal. Your worries will eventually start to go away with time....and advice....about what is normal to feel and what is abnormal. I was very worried like you, too. I just had to come to the realization that I couldn't stress myself out and worry myself to death because it wasn't good for my baby. I also kept telling myself that women have been doing this for thousands of years, it is a very natural process, and somehow our mind and body can cope. I hope this helps you some! :)

Thank you all for your kind words of advice. I wrote a card to myself on the 7th of May to open when I found out I was pregnant. It gave some perspective eg. this has been happening since the beginning of time, don't tell everyone, it is not all about you people have their own lives. Also to make sure I enjoy this time with my husband and make him a big part of it. Also to eat no chocolate, lollies, fatty food or drink softdrink. :S I am cool with that, and have been cutting back all year.

I had a dreadful 1st trimester. I was very ill (being sick about 6 times a day, every day, and I felt drained and emotional) All normal! Every newly pregnant mum worries about miscarriage. I fretted over it up to 20-weeks, and even now, I worry about going into early labour. It's perfectly normal to be concerned. I found it helped doing a lot of research. I even keep a pregnancy journal on how my baby is developing each week to give me reassurance. You're bound to feel some cramping or pains, as your body begins to adjust. Just wait till you get these damn braxton hicks! :) Best bit of advice is if you're tired or ill, and your body is telling you to slow down and relax, do it! Number 1 rule in pregnancy is do exactly as your body tells you.

And of course complain on here every time hubby annoys you, or any time you just want to let it all out, or any concerns you have with your pregnancy. :) Have you decided which Maternity Hospital you're going to use for your antenatal care?

No. Neither had I. But I've had it for days! And it's my first craving. Apart from peanuts! Which pregnant women aren't allowed to have! My plan is to buy a bag of salted peanuts and wolf them down immediately after I give birth!

wait... why arnt we allowed peanuts?
i have eaten them throughout my whole pregnancy LOL

LOL. Something about your baby becoming allergic to them if you eat them during pregnancy. Nothing serious. But my midwife told me they were a no no, along with the other good things I miss daily. :(

I live in a remote area. We have a hospital but you aren't able to have babies there. You have to drive 3 1/2 hrs south, which is a pain. I was planning to take out health insurance but didn't so it will be a public hospital for our baby, but I am not too concerned, no hospital fees, which is great because I will have to leave where I live 1mth before the baby comes. Last month a baby was born 5-6 weeks early... it was born in an airplane on the tarmac on the way to the hospital. :S One of my friends is a dr at the hospital where we will go but I think she may move on before our bub is born. There is such a long time to go.

I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW WHEN I SEE THE DOCTOR.

Any-who I am watching desp. housewives, I am too tied to watch brothers and sisters... looks like I will have to set the dvd recorder up to record free to air tv and not cable (live in Australia). Tomorrow I am off to work, day 3 of official pregnancy and my first pregnant day at work. I am excited.
